Formerly known as Fill the Bus, the Tools for Schools initiative is intended to offset even a small amount of costs incurred by area educators as they set up their classrooms.
The program started in 2015 with 51 wish lists. In 2021, the estimated value was over $10,000 in 335 Harvey County classrooms, preschool through high school. All thanks to generous local businesses and private donors.
There is no doubt that this program has helped in many ways. The challenge will be to match resources with tremendous needs, as we provide support to all districts in the county.
